An Open Letter to Business

This is the year of BIG POLITICAL CHANGE. I’m Jim Burkee, and I’m running for Congress. If you’re like me and the 91% of Americans who are dissatisfied with Congress, I ask you to take the time to learn more about my campaign for change.

As a professor, I expect active citizenship from my Concordia University students. If you’re not a part of the solution, I tell them, you’re a part of the problem. And in our democracy, if you aren’t willing to work for change, then you forfeit the right to complain.

Congressional leadership in recent years has left our country with an unstable economy; massive deficits; skyrocketing health care costs; soaring trade deficits; and entitlement commitments that threaten to bankrupt the country and pollute America’s business climate.

On energy, health care, entitlements and more, I will work across the aisle, putting Wisconsin first, and bring real solutions home. I’m asking for your support.

Now let’s get down to business.
